Be a leader.

I'm sure some of you have seen the "Followers" feature that Blogger is now sporting. My blog has this feature enabled. Why? Sheer curiosity.

And it paid off! I have a follower that I did not know was following me. And she's awesome. One of the coolest people I know.

I will know on December 2 what my new shift be. There could be "big" news coming from me on that day. Or, more likely, one of the following days.

Either way, there will be changes in my life soon.

Gobble gobble

I am working on Thanksgiving this year. For that reason, we will be leaving this afternoon for a little pre-holiday visit with my family. So, no big turkey dinner for me. But that is okay.

I have not been very connected to Thanksgiving for a really long time. All through high school, I spent Thanksgiving in Mexico with the church youth group, doing missionary work. I loved that. It is not that I loved missing the holiday with the family, but I loved being out there, doing something.

Since high school, I have worked on nearly every Thanksgiving to date. It is just not a holiday that I am all that familiar with. And it will be so again this year.

The 49ers game is on right now. It is disgusting. I hate the Cowboys.

A small fix

Slight color update. I knew the brown color was not quite what I was looking for, and I figured it out. It is really more of an orange. Thoughts?

And it keeps getting better...

Well, hopefully I do. Hopefully I keep getting better.

By the way, I was quoting a Christina Aguilara song.

Anyhow, I have a cold. It started a few days ago with a sore throat, and now it is a real cold. I have been coughing and hurting and all of that good stuff.

You know what is fun? I believe rather strongly in feeding an illness. I believe that the extra calories help the body to heal. So I've been eating a lot of good stuff. Soup mostly, but also plenty of eggs. I like eggs.

Tomorrow is another 36 hour shift. Excitement, no?

Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes

Not huge ones. Just some new (better? Yes, in my opinion) colors and a new name.

The colors should work better, as I stole them directly from an image that looks great.

In case you wonder, I took the colors of the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League. I am a bit obsessed with Hockey right now. The colors may change over time, based on whatever of my favorite sports teams is playing at that time of year.

Anyhow, comments are good.

The beat goes on...

And that title has nothing to do with this post.

In fact, I really do not have anything special to say right now. I am just writing this because I am having some sleeping trouble. Which really sucks, because I have to be up for work in four hours. I tried to go to sleep two hours ago. It did not work at all.

Things have been really interesting lately. I have been trading one shift a week with a co-worker, because he needs a certain day off every week for the next couple of months. As a result, I do not work Fridays, and I do work Saturday nights. This puts me on a 36 hour shift once a week, which is awesome and crazy. The awesomeness is that I only have two shifts a week, the 12 hour shift and the 36 hour shift.

Unfortunately, the first two of the shifts did not go entirely well. Very little sleep led to long long shifts. I survived.

Now... I'm tired. I am going to sleep out here on the couch tonight, because it is honestly more comfortable. Plus, the bedroom is about 2000 degrees right now. It's nice and cool out here.
